‘The Wonder Of You’ With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Puts Elvis Back On Top

Last month, Elvis found his way back to the top of the charts in the U.K. with a "new" album, proving how popular he continues to be to this day, even after so much time has passed since he stopped recording music decades ago. The Wonder Of You debuted atop the British albums tally in late October, beating out the stiff competition with ease. What makes Elvis' latest No. 1 even more incredible is the fact that it's his second chart-topper in as many years. He owned the top spot in the U.K. late in 2015 with If I Can Dream, giving him his first week in the penthouse in a long, long time.

... "The idea for the record originated in a conversation with Priscilla [Presley],” explained Adam Block, President of Legacy Recordings. "She was sharing some of the creative conversations she would have about Elvis, and she told us that he always admired the operatic voices the most. He always wished to make a record that would really allow his voice to be heard in the same way that those kinds of records do."
