Good Times
A much better album than the last, from a much better group of Stax sessions in December reflecting a far livelier, more committed and focused artist. It also featured better material and better sound (RCA brought in its own sound truck this time). With songs like “I Got A Feeling In My Body,” “Loving Arms,” and “Good Time Charlie’s Got The Blues,” not to mention the recent single, it was alarming that Elvis seemed once again to have lost the contemporary audience he had rediscovered (or vice versa) with “Burning Love” and Aloha. This album sold as poorly as the last two – less than 200,000 copies.
